Meet Captain Brad: Your Guide for an Unforgettable Fishing Adventure

Brad Nisbet is the proud owner and licensed guide for Reel Salty Sportfishing, specializing in outdoor adventures across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. In addition to his expertise in fishing, Brad serves as a municipal firefighter and has dedicated 25 years to the military, currently still serving as a Search and Rescue Technician based in Greenwood, NS. With over 35 years of experience hunting and fishing throughout the Maritimes, Newfoundland, British Columbia and Ontario, Brad combines passion with skill, ensuring an unforgettable experience for outdoor enthusiasts.

Brad is a dedicated outdoorsman and a loving father of four daughters. Alongside his wife, Michelynn, he has shared his passion for fishing and hunting with their children, instilling a love for nature and wildlife in each of them. Together, they explore the great outdoors, fostering bonds and creating lasting memories through these shared experiences.

Safety is a significant focus for Brad, especially considering his background in Search & Rescue and numerous ocean-related missions he has had over the years. One of the missions was documented in Maclean’s Magazine and another that had national coverage, 200 miles off the shore of Nova Scotia, involving both the US Coast Guard and our Canadian Search & Rescue 413 squadron. This is a news link describing it, and this other link is a video created by the US Coast Guard interviewing the crew involved. We want families know they are in good hands with Brad’s extensive expertise and rescue specialist abilities.
